PMI Expands Manufacturing Capabilities with New Aluminium Factory

Prime Metal Industries (PMI) has strengthened its manufacturing capabilities with the inauguration of its new Aluminium Factory at Dubai Industrial City (DIC), marking a significant milestone in its continued growth and commitment to delivering high-quality metal and façade solutions.

The facility, with a total built-up area of 7,548 m², was completed on 20 November 2025, became operational on 24 November 2025, and was officially inaugurated on 4 April 2026. This expansion reflects PMI’s strategic focus on enhancing production capacity, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the growing demand for aluminium and façade systems across the UAE.

Enhanced Production Capabilities

The new facility is equipped to manufacture a wide range of aluminium systems, including curtain walls, sliding doors, windows, railings, and other architectural facade elements. With the integration of advanced machinery such as 4-axis CNC machines, double-head cutting machines, and NC systems, the factory is designed to deliver precision-engineered solutions at scale.

Production is structured across two shifts, supported by an optimised workflow and facility layout that ensures smooth material movement, reduced waste, and improved overall efficiency.

Supporting Large-Scale Developments

The new aluminium factory significantly enhances PMI’s ability to support high-volume façade works for large-scale developments. By strengthening in-house production capabilities, PMI is able to deliver projects faster while maintaining strict quality control and cost efficiency.

This capability is particularly critical for ongoing and upcoming developments such as Town Square projects, Bridge District developments, and Sidr Residences, where scale, speed, and precision are essential.

Focus on Efficiency and Sustainability

The facility incorporates lean manufacturing principles and 6S practices, focusing on waste reduction, efficient resource utilisation, and continuous improvement. These

initiatives align with the UAE’s broader vision of strengthening local manufacturing and promoting sustainable industrial growth.

With a workforce of approximately 150 personnel operating across day and night shifts, the new aluminium factory positions PMI for continued expansion and increased project delivery capacity.
